installing aa

Hello,

I wanted to have the class aa available, but I failed in the installation
on a linux machine
aa.layout
is installed  in /usr/share/lyx/layouts
I installed the aa-package in ~/latex/styles
I set the variable TEXINPUTS at ~/latex/styles

This is the out of configure.log

INFO: +checking for document class aa [aa,answers.sty]... no

What else should I do?
