Default location for PDF output files

PS Reading the Stack Exchange thread, View is intended for checking how 
the document will actually look. Use Export when you are wanting to 
share it, or post it, or submit it, or whatever. The latter is something 
you would presumably do a lot less often. I at least do not want a new 
PDF in the document directory every time I check a minor change.

PPS If you are not sure what format your document is using, check the 
Document menu and see what it says for the default "View" action.
