I've done this with small documents. And I can block the chapter in the PDF
file and paste it to a text file, but that's not really efficient.

Learning how to set up a parent file and each chapter as children would be
best. Looking at the User Guide, Additional Features, and Embedded Objects
docs I didn't see how to do this.
