I looked at the various manuals available on the Help menu without seeing 
detailed instructions for creating a parent and child docs; that's what I
originally thought would be best. But, I've not before done this so a
pointer to creating and using a parent and children doc.

The Wiki doc, Multidoc.pdf, is a FAQ on details but not a tutorial for those
of us who need to learn how.
