preview environment doesn't render in the document in 2.4.0?

I wasn't using floats at all (at least not intentionally if somethings are
happening behind the screen its beyond me).
this is what the problems look like on my side:

and this is your file you sent me(with floats):

both compile perfectly to the PDF but still in both the preview doesn't
work in the LyX document.
