preview environment doesn't render in the document in 2.4.0?

followed your steps and this is what it said, there were no TempFile.cpp
(37) ones only 35 and 38 as you can see here, it looks like the 38 code are
the ones you're looking for, I don't know why there are 2 of these, marked
them in red, I'm linking the first one as it seems like the right one
(because of the .tex suffix), I'll note that when i open it, it opens 2
windows: one is a text editor with the page code, and another is the
supposed rendered output, but the rendered output here is weird, I'll add
pics

this is weird because the pdf output of the file looks normal:

and here's the other window it opens:

I've added the log file as well.
