Hi Mark 
I run LyX 2.4.0 b5 with MacTeX 2023 and Inkscape 1.3.2 on MacOSX 14.2.1 on my production (writing notes, compendia etc but very seldom using beamer) computer (MacBook Pro 2019). Works fine, but of course no guarantee it will for you…
