Hi,

I would like to submit a bug to the bug tracker. Weirdly, I was asked to
send an email to everyone to get an account there (this must be so
bothersome to everyone...). My apologies if I misunderstood something.

The bug report:


*What*

The LyX performance turns to very poor (bad responsiveness such as time
lags between clicks and opening menus, cursor changes, typing words and
their appearance on the screen) if an article with many authors is cited
and Bibtex is used in Natbib mode. An example is attached. Switching to
the simple Bibtex citation mode fixes the issue. Not citing this
reference fixes it, too.


*Configuration*

LyX Version 2.4.1 (Monday, July 1st 2024)

Qt-Version (runtime): 6.7.2 (Platform: windows)

Qt-Version (on creation): 6.7.2

OS-Version (on creation): Windows 10 Version 22H2

Python call: 3.12.3 (C:\Program Files\LyX 2.4\Python\python.exe)
