References -- TeX capacity exceeded

Thanks.

It appears that you cannot use anymore \label within \sections, but also 
within \caption{} oft figures or tables.

While \section{heading \label{label} } causes an immediate error, 
\caption produces:  Argument of \caption@@@withoptargs has an extra }
