Success of LyX to dvi depends on file paths

Also attached is lyx_tmpdir.tgz, which contains the contents of the LyX
temporary directory after I instruct LyX to process the files using
"Document > View [DVI]".  One file works (lyx_tmpbuf1) and one doesn't
(lyx_tmpbuf0).  I'm sure the reason one doesn't work is because LyX is
failing to create the eps file (which has zero size in lyx_tmpbuf0).
