two (or three) column bibliography

Thanks, Eckard, but I had already

putting
 > \begin{multicols}{2}
 >
in front of Biblatex produced Bibliography
 > ( LITERATURE )
and
 > \end{multicols]
behind it did not produce a two column Bibliography.
May be Herberts proposal works, but I have not yet found the submenu he 
is referring to.
