Screen font question-inline

Assuming I understand and followed instructions, this did not help.  Screen gets smaller 
but shows same thing.

Not sure I understand "windowed" but nothing I do allows me to see the buttons.

Again, Alt + or Alt - while in the lyx document being edited, works great.  I have no need 
to fix it in Preferences.
