hyperlink without a prefix

This is a follow up to a question on Latex.org:

I want to create a phone call link in my pdf, so the latex code would be

\href{tel:+12029999999}{+1--202--999--9999}

But when I use the hyperlink inset in lyx the user most resort into one of three categories:

 - a webiste link starting with http://
 - a mailto link
 - a file link

Is there a way to overcome this and just do

\href{whatever is in the Target field}{the text}

?
