I tried your lyx file
but get this error (below after ######)
I guess there is a difference in Ubuntu and Debian.
In the meantime I'll try to proceed with the way Steve describes and 
Kornel pointed to

A font might not be found for many reasons.
  Check the spelling, where the font is installed etc. etc.

  When in doubt, ask someone for help!
