LyX on Apple silicon?

LyX folk,
Two questions:
1. Has anyone run the current MacOS LyX binaries on any of the new “Apple
silicon” Macs equipped with M1 chips (hence, via Rosetta 2 emulation)?
Reviews I’m seeing suggest that the vast majority of Intel binaries will
run with no problems and, indeed, will be at least as fast or even faster
despite the emulation layer. It would be great to get confirmation of this
for LyX (hence also for TeX).
2. What are the plans for creating native LyX binaries for these new Macs?
Thanks.
