Too large space before cross-references?

In German, a thin space is used between abbreviations and numbers:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmales_Leerzeichen

Now "table" is not an abbreviation, so I am not sure what do here...

A full space just feels too much, but maybe it's just me.
