An irritant with branches

Good point, Andrew! I actually wonder if we should just remove the
pop-up panel. It seems to contain mostly duplicate information. For
example, it contains the branch name (which can be seen on the inset
label itself), whether the branch is active (which is also observable on
the inset label), and whether it is inverted (also observable on the
label). If the branch inset is closed, it also contains the text that is
inside, which is obviously not observable on the lable. This last bit of
information might be useful, but if users want to see the text on the
inside why not just click to open it?
