I've disabled the xhtml tests for now (at 24114048). When you have time
to take a look at a fix, let's put them back in.
In the meantime, I still don't know if it's better to revert or not the
commit you found might be responsible for the regressions. Since I don't
know this code, I'll leave things as is.
