Seems to be a bug with ps2pdf (or xcolor, as the problem does not occur
with color).

A simple color definition such as this (taken from dvipsnam.def):

\DefineNamedColor{named}{Maroon}{cmyk}{0,0.87,0.68,0.32}

causes the break:
