Yes.

This is really not under our control, every linux distro has it's own policies.

Got it, but the mechanism of Subfigure generation is different than
the other ones, where we directly use our-defined strings.

Thanks, I marked Finish layout strings as reviewed now:

The thing here is that terms used by mathematicians should be used here,
as these will be used in finish-written mathematical papers.

Context-wise it's coming from chemical journal. But if we change this
one should also change other related translations in fi.po
(like Schemes in plural).

For my part I am happy that you provided the layout translations
which were not reviewed since 2017. Thanks!
That said, if you feel brave or passionate the whole Finish translation of the
whole UI was not touched for quite some time. But it's lot of work - currently
3000 untranslated strings ( https://www.lyx.org/I18n ); some of them coming
from journals can be skipped, but still...
If you feel like giving it a try, you can read this first:
https://www.lyx.org/trac/browser/lyxgit/README.localization
and then start with up-to-date fi.po translation:
https://git.lyx.org/gitweb/?p=lyx.git;a=blob_plain;f=po/fi.po;h=80e4eab4158f0e1df60826ce7ecec91633bc33ac;hb=refs/heads/2.4.x
but it's not small undertaking...
Cheers,
Pavel
