Yes.

No, we do not have any mail server, tough job to get right nowadays. We only
have @lyx.org addresses forwarding to the real one. 

Depending on settings of your mail provider you might be able to fake your From
header in your email so it looks like like coming from @lyx.org but some large
scale email providers like gmail are increasingly nervous about it -- so your
mail might or might not get received depending on the mood of their AI filter
for the given day.
