The confusion might be that there is a songbook.layout file, which might 
make it seem as if there should be a songbook.cls file. But there's not: 
The songbook layout simply uses book.cls with the songbook.sty file. So 
all the files needed do seem to be linked from

Whether they still work properly is another question.
