I think the Japanese tests were failing because
of problems in the Japanese layout files, or the
preambles in the docs. I think the problems
were resolved with 54601b55789d88e5
and abd35bc33cd5e180.

These ones are compiling fine for me after
a fix from Jürgen at 498135ef383a6e75.
Are you testing with the master branch of
polyglossia?
