Just to be sure about what I am talking, let us look into Python 3.8.
This the minimum version that we will support for the next LyX
versions.
Python 3.8 is at the end-of-line and is no longer supported upstream.
The support for it, even in terms of security releases, has run out
this month.

So you need to trust an external entity to rely on its maintenance.
Are you telling me that a version released more than 5 years ago is so
weird to ask to? :-)
