Possibly bug with export to epub

  yes, this is the appropriated place.

I am surprised about this error.

Before proceeding I would like to ask you if exporting a LyX file to
2.3 format works?

File -> Export -> LyX 2.3.x

The reason why I am asking this is that it uses the same mechanism as
the transformation above. Thus I want to understand if this is a more
general problem or not.
