Version 2.4.0~RC4 Instant preview stops working when inserting floats or comments

Thanks for the very clear screencast. I am still not able to reproduce 
the issue on Linux.

Do you see any error in View>Messages Pane?

Alternatively, are you able to run LyX from a terminal in order to have 
other error messages ?
