I do have org.kde.Platform. So I figured I was launching lyx incorrectly and it runs now.
Loaded random file of mine and I see several issues:
- when trying to view pdf, won't be processed (latex error: cannot determine size of graphics in figs/...)
- neither bibliography is found.

Maybe I am not allowed to load my documents in normal home? I see that the file is actually opened in
some /run/user/.... sandbox. Can this be allowed?

So I tried to create new simple file:
- I can't export my files - latex is there but postscipt files won't be processed (epstopdf probably missing)
- I can't see pdf ouput (perhaps some pdfviewer should be part of the dependencies?); (same proably for html output, but that may be left on user's choice if he wants to add it)
