LyX document gives LaTeX errors of file not found on master

I confirm what you get.

OTHO 2.4 is correct because that path is outside of the repo, I do not
have that file.


So the surprising part is why does 2.3 works?

Actually it does not work.

Using 2.3 we get an empty frame in the space where that graphics should
be, with the file path displayed instead:
../pypYIN/report/ISMIR_2017/note_bar_DBN.eps

2.4 is more strict and errors out.

So this is a different behaviour but not an error/bug of LyX 2.4.
