About the wiki theme

Dear devs,
today I needed to browse the wiki for some time. Some things about the
theme made it a bit difficult:
1. There is no maximum width, so the text just expands indefinitely.
it's much easier to read when lines are short.
2. Pages look like giant walls of text, with little separation between
different objects.
3. There is no padding for the text.
4. it's hard to understand what some displayed content mean, for
example: << | Page list | >>.
In the attached image I compare that to a wiki I consider very good,
the Gentoo one. With just a few cosmetic changes Lyx's wiki could be
more readable.
I see that the software is PmWiki, but picking a webpage from their
own wiki (like https://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/PmWiki/Installation) shows
some nice cosmetic improvements, like an outline around some elements,
padding, a navigator, etc. Perhaps we're running an older version? Or
maybe not making use of all the elements?
Cheers,
Lorenzo
