[PATCH] Always use \newcommandx instead of \def

Thanks for these example files! For some reason I get a "header error" when I try to open them in LyX.

I can take care of this. The testing system is a bit complicated. If you are very curious, I can direct you to the documentation, but otherwise I will save you the trouble.
