Get rid of the "Let it run" prompt?

Perhaps a related use: reporting render time in the status bar. In
particular, I would find this useful for long-rendering documents that I
have a sense of time for. When the time is well exceeded, I can assume
that I've introduced a problem and can then kill it.

P.S. I haven't lost track of the Gitlab responses, but I've been (a)
personally quite busy and (b) faced with many reasonable, but difficult,
requests for capability that I want to be sure I address as fully as
possible.
