Get rid of the "Let it run" prompt?

Done at 6d4ab799. I just used the special timeout value of "-1" to
disable the dialog. I did not completely remove the timeout
implementation because (1) it is more complicated than I realize and I
don't want to mess with it at this point; and (2) I wonder if there is
still some potential (current or future) use of it? I don't have any in
mind, but since I hesitated I thought it best to leave it.
