If you are confident that you can have a look next week, then I'll wait 
for you.

The other solution is to merge the branch now, since we know that you 
will have to update everything before next release.

What would remain is the code in GuiFontMetrics.cpp. The best is to use 
the existing instrumentation using pmprof.
