LaTeX2e changes of behavior causing failures in our docs

I've run our ctests with the TeX Live "-dev" binaries (e.g., "pdflatex-dev") to see whether the upcoming LaTeX2e release will cause any failures and a few popped up. I reported two of them as regressions. Here are screenshots of two more. Does anyone know whether these are expected and we should change things on our side, or whether these are potential regressions?
