tex2lyx tests failing on current master

These problems begin with

[fec498d6617d9] unicodesymbols: add several synonyms.

Attached is a diff from tex2lyx tests that shows the changes. These
seem to be (1.) additional space between characters and (2.) sometimes
inserted {} in ERT.

Thibaut, does this ring a bell?
