Same here.

Only thing I noticed is that if I try to build with CMake there is an issue:

CMake Error: File /home/scott/Downloads/temp/lyx-2.4.0-beta2/development/unix/lyxrc.dist.in does not exist.
CMake Error at development/cmake/Install.cmake:175 (configure_file):
  configure_file Problem configuring file
Call Stack (most recent call first):
  CMakeLists.txt:1204 (include)

I'll see Kornel to see if he has an idea.
