Just a heads up that LyX with Valgrind runs very very slow for me. I have used it to get some useful output, but only for the case where I just needed to load LyX and make a few clicks. If you need to do several operations for what you have in mind, it will take a while. Perhaps you can automate it using LyX LFUNs and go have a coffee while it does its thing.
