Losing session settings on Mac (was: Using Lyx with git (instead of RCS))

Robert,

I have modified

	~/Library/Application Support/LyX-2.3/ui/default.ui

by adding to

	Toolbar:
		[...]
		"vcs" "on, left, samerow"
		[...]
	End

which works and survives.

Pavel,

I like my icons small and this does not always survives.  This
has irked me for years :-)-O
