Export to 2.3.x of French linguistics manual fails to compile on 2.3.x

Two issues here:

The simple one is to correct some markup in this manual. I did this and
also tried to localize the examples. Jean-Pierre, please check. The
example now compiles after reversion.

The other is the reversion with language switches. Might be more
difficult, I'll check.
