postats.py broken with Python 3

No. :-)

In this case this is a development tool, and those traditionally can have 
different requirements from the user oriented tools that we create.

After the last update to the 2.3.x series is released, that will happen after 
2.4.0 release, I will strip all the python 2 (only) remnants from the python 
scripts. :-)
