Spellchecking dictionaries in LyX 2.4 installer

I support this idea as well, but we've already had this debate and there is considerable opposition. When there's opposition to this type of change, even if the majority support the change, usually we don't do it since the benefit of the doubt goes to the current default. We would need a strong majority to support the change and incur the cost of changing the default, and if I remember correctly I don't think a strong majority support the change.

By they way, I really dislike continuous spell-check for my own use. It disrupts the flow of writing. The main reason I use LyX is to be able to focus on writing and not curly braces or backslashes. The reason I support turning it on by default is I've met some long-time LyX users who were joyfully shocked when I showed them the feature, so I agree with Joel's reasoning.
