Advanced find pane takes longer to appear on master

If I open a long document, e.g., User Guide, and then do "ctrl + shift + f",
on 2.3.x the advanced find pane appears almost instantly where on master
there is a small, but noticeable, delay (maybe 1/2 second?).

Can anyone else reproduce?
