My email in another threat with a Fusion vs macintosh style impression 
did not come through (yet). Probably due to attachment size limitation. 
Here is a compressed version.

In the attached screen capture one can get an impression how macOS fares 
in comparison. The checkboxes are not all left aligned (due to some 
being part of groupbox titles) and the spacing between checkboxes is too 
small.
