Riki,
I am very thankful for your trying out the file. It worked
here right away on my notebook. Will try it tomorrow on my PC,
where I had the problem.

Riki, I tried my original lyx file again on my PC and the one you have sent me back. Yours opened as it should, the original one can't be opened >

What did you change?

I just opened it in LyX 2.3.4dev (what will become 2.3.4) and then saved it in the current format. I don't know if there's some bug in 2.3.3 that prevented it from converting, and that has been fixed, or if there is some other issue. You could try running LyX from a terminal. Then the conversion script will spit out the errors that are preventing the conversion.

I am sure now that this problem I have is due to the missing conversion on my PC, since the lyx file is exported correctly on my notebook. See my 'coverter ADD' question
