I don't recall URLs ever wrapping automatically. In the past, I
would add hyphens at places where I wanted the URL to wrap,
which is a bit clunky (since a change in preceding text can
change where the wrap needs to happen). You might check out the
xurl LaTeX package, or alternatively the breakurl package.<br>
