OK,

The truncation (in configure.log, or in the terminal) is independent of the size of the windows/shell/terminal where I run configure.py
This make sense. But why this truncation?
It seems that you use a line format to generate this output!
How can I not run configure.py in a terminal? I use gnome-terminal all the time.
