LyX & macOS Dark Theme

Colleagues,

An issue was raised to me the other day that LyX does not display well when
macOS dark mode is applied.  Examples attached for what I see following
quitting/restarting the application.

I see this ticket (https://www.lyx.org/trac/ticket/11431), but despite
quitting/restarting the application I see the attached.

Are there simple customizations to make this more serviceable?  Does
resolving this "automatically" based on user preference qualify as an
enhancement request for the tracker?

Any thoughts are appreciated.
