I guess that depends upon how LyX is compiled exactly. I don't think
that any of my tarballs have used the 3rdparty stuff, since I'm
cross-compiling on Linux; the corresponding packages are supplied by
mingw in one form or another.

Perhaps Eugene could help us out here?
