Labels from inactive branches

From what I understand, you want the same functionality as "Show Only
output items" in the outliner (2.4.0dev-only feature), but in the
cross-reference dialog. Is that right?

What UI design do you have in mind? The same combo box options as the
outliner? Or just a single-option check box?
